It's officially the end of week one of my 31 day running and writing challenge, and I'm feeling good! Here's a quick round-up of my week!
Ughhhh I had to run. It was only day five and I had to get out there and run, even though I was still sore from what was basically two days of intervals in a row (soccer game on Monday and then fartleks with the running group on Tuesday). But it was only day five and I had to run. Besides, Ryder had been acting crazy and I knew he wanted to get out of the house. I'd come home from work to find my travel-sized stick of Body Glide shredded by the front door. Whoever says dogs are dumb is a liar: Ryder knows I haven't been home as much because I've been running...
So if you don't actually need anything for running, what should you have? Today I've outlined 9 essentials for running, plus 5 items that are a good idea to bring along!
It's day 4 of my running and writing streak and both are going strong, so I figure I'll keep covering the basics of running. Maybe you're now sold on the "why" of running and you understand what running is, so you might ask, "But what do I need in order to run?"
It's been three days and I am on track with my streak: 10 miles on Saturday, 2.75 miles on Sunday, and soccer on Monday. And so far I'm feeling great!
"But Liz, does soccer count as running?"
"Well, you run when you play soccer, right?"
"Right."
"So yeah! Soccer counts as running!"
Okay, but what exactly is running?
In case you missed it, this month I am on a running and writing streak! I'm participating in the Write 31 Days challenge where I'll put up one blog post every day in October. I'm focusing this month on running and will run at least once every day this month as part of my running and writing streak. So why running?
Happy first day of October! So remember how I said I had a surprise for my October writing goals? I am so stoked about this month because I'm trying something totally different: Blogtober! I am participating in the 31 Days challenge where I post one blog post every day for 31 days.
Okay, so I kinda think "monthly goals" blog posts are a gimme in terms of an easy post to just throw up on the blog, buuuuuuut...I.AM.SO.STOKED.FOR.OCTOBER. And it's not like I'm going to some crazy exotic place that is going to make me the coolest blogger ever or that some major milestone is coming up. Actually it seems a little counterintuitive to be excited about a chill, laid-back month after getting engaged and then buying a house. But yeah, October!
